Winter storm warning in effect for:

  • Forillon National Park - Gaspé area
  • Percé area

Hazardous winter conditions are expected.

A strong low pressure system will develop over the American East Coast and will move towards the Maritimes Tuesday. Heavy snow, strong winds and blowing snow will affect eastern parts of the Gaspe Peninsula beginning tomorrow afternoon.

Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.

Winter Storm Warnings are issued when multiple types of severe winter weather are expected to occur together.

Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required. Please continue to monitor your local media or Weatheradio for further updates.
