Winter storm warning in effect for:
- Forillon National Park - Gaspé - Percé
30 to 50 centimetres of snow are expected along the Appalachians and the eastern part of the Lower North Shore. Regions closer to the St. Lawrence will see 15 to 25 centimetres. Strong winds will create blowing snow which will strongly reduce visibilities.
A low pressure system will intensify south of the Great Lakes today
and reach the Maritimes Thursday. The snow associated with this
system is already falling near the American Border and it will move
into Southern and Central Quebec this afternoon. It will then spread
toward the Gaspé Peninsula tonight. Northeasterly gusts of 60 to
100 km/h combined with snow will cause blowing snow and greatly
