Wind warning in effect for:
Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.
The broad low pressure system that has affected the eastern part of the country over the past several days will bring yet another round of poor weather. The low will strengthen again on Tuesday as it moves toward eastern Quebec, giving very strong northeasterly winds over the lower North Shore and the tip of the Gaspe Peninsula with gusts reaching up to 100 kilometers per hour.
Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. Avoid wooded areas to prevent injury from falling trees or branches. Campers should move to sturdy shelters.
Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required. Please monitor local media or Weatheradio. To report severe weather, send an email to email@example.com or tweet reports to #meteoqc.
