Wind warning in effect for:

  • Chevery

Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.

The broad low pressure system that has been affecting the eastern part of the country over the past few days will bring another round of bad weather. Northeasterly winds gusting up to 100 km/h will affect the Lower North Shore, the eastern portion of Anticosti Island and the tip of the Gaspé Peninsula today.

Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. Avoid wooded areas to prevent injury from falling trees or branches. Campers should move to sturdy shelters.

Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.

Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required. Please monitor local media or Weatheradio. To report severe weather, send an email to or tweet reports to #meteoqc.
