Winter storm warning in effect for:

  • Natashquan

Hazardous winter conditions are expected.

An intense low pressure system over the Lower North Shore will be located over the Labrador Sea this evening. This system will bring significant snowfall accumulations possibly reaching 15 to 25 cm and strong winds reaching 100 km/h causing blowing snow in several of these regions. Precipitation could change to freezing rain this morning over Chevery.

Over the Gaspé Peninsula, while the heavy snow has ended, strong northwest winds and blowing snow will persist until tonight.

Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.

Winter Storm Warnings are issued when multiple types of severe winter weather are expected to occur together.
