Blizzard warning in effect for:

  • Ivujivik

A low pressure system south of Ungava Bay will reach the Hudson Strait today. Snow combined with strong winds will reduce visibilities to nearly zero in these communities this afternoon and tonight. Conditions will gradually improve Friday morning.

Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. If you do travel and become lost, remain where you are until the blizzard has passed.

Blizzard Warnings are issued when widespread reduced visibilities of 400 metres or less are expected for at least 4 hours.
