Rain, at times heavy, continues.

A slow moving low pressure system is giving showers at times heavy to the above regions. Showers and scattered thunderstorms are expected at times this evening and tonight. Total rainfall amounts of 50 mm are expected in some portions of the regions, with a few locally higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Sudbury has already reported nearly 50 mm as of 3:00 PM, and could see another 10 to 20 mm this evening and tonight. Furthermore, radar shows that the area between Sault Ste. Marie and Montreal River has received about 50 mm, with another 10 to 15 mm expected there.

The threat for heavy rain will end Sunday morning.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
