Rainfall warning in effect for:

  • Elliot Lake - Ranger Lake

Rain, at times heavy, is expected.

Total rainfall amounts of 40 to 60 mm are expected by Tuesday morning.

Heavy rain will continue through the night before gradually tapering to a few showers Tuesday morning.

In addition to the heavy rain, winds gusting to near 80 km/h are possible overnight into Tuesday morning for areas from Sault Ste. Marie east towards Killarney and for Manitoulin Island.

This rain is associated with a rapidly intensifying fall storm forecast to track near Sault Ste. Marie on Tuesday.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
