Snowfall warning in effect for:

  • Kenora - Grassy Narrows - Whitedog

Snowfall, with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected.

A developing low pressure area over the Dakotas today will intensify as it migrates eastwards towards Minnesota tonight. Snow at times heavy will develop over portions of Northwestern Ontario later tonight and continue on Tuesday. Snowfall amounts of 15 to locally 20 centimetres are likely near and to the north of Lake of the Woods by Tuesday evening. Further accumulations are expected Tuesday night into Wednesday as the system stalls over the region.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.

Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
