Freezing rain warning in effect for:

  • Wawa - Pukaskwa Park

Freezing rain is expected or occurring.

Temperatures have slipped back to near the zero degree mark tonight. As a result, areas of freezing rain have returned, and will persist through the night.

The freezing rain will come to an end by early Monday morning as temperatures edge above the zero degree mark.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.

  • White River - Dubreuilville

A long-lasting period of freezing rain resulting in ice accumulation is expected or occurring.

Temperatures will slowly rise over the next several hours which will change the freezing rain to rain this evening.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Utility outages may occur.
