Blizzard warning in effect for:

  • Gjoa Haven

Blizzard conditions have developed today. Gusty winds up to 60 km/h gusting to 80 with visibility near zero in snow and blowing snow are forecast to last into the evening for Gjoa Haven, and Tuesday morning for Kugaaruk.

Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility. Ensure that shelter is provided for pets and outdoor animals.

Blizzard warnings are issued when widespread reduced visibilities of 400 metres or less are expected for at least 6 hours.
