Snowfall warning in effect for:
An approaching low pressure system and cold front west of Kimmirut will track east today and bring a period of heavy snow to Kimmirut later this afternoon through this evening. The snow may start out as rain as first with temperatures near plus 4c but will quickly change to snow as temperatures drop below freezing by late afternoon. 10 to 15 cm of snow is possible before the snow tapers off overnight into Thursday morning.
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
