Blizzard warning in effect for:
Blizzard conditions with poor visibility in snow and blowing snow are expected or occurring.
A low pressure system approaching from the north will bring some fresh snow and strengthening winds to Ulukhaktok beginning this evening. This combination will result in blizzard conditions with near-zero visibilities in snow and blowing snow. The blizzard conditions are expected to last until Wednesday afternoon, when winds will diminish and visibilities will improve.
Blizzard warnings are issued when widespread reduced visibilities of 400 metres or less are expected for at least 6 hours.
Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility. Limit outdoor activities.
