A low pressure system is expected to develop along the southern coast of Maine overnight tonight. Rain ahead of this system will become at times heavy as it spreads northeastward overnight tonight and into Saturday.

At this time the most significant rainfall is expected over western Nova Scotia where 25 to 40 mm or more are expected in areas of heaviest rain. However, there remains some uncertainty with the final track of this low pressure system. Small shifts in the track of this feature may significantly impact expected rainfall accumulation. Rainfall warnings may be required as new information becomes available.
