Rainfall warning in effect for:

  • Yarmouth County

Rainfall - after midnight to early evening Thursday.

Rain, at times heavy, is expected.

A low pressure system just south of Nova Scotia will move slowly eastward tonight and Thursday. Periods of heavy rain associated with this feature is forecast to taper to flurries or showers Thursday evening. Rainfall amounts of 40 to 50 millimetres are expected for southwestern Nova Scotia.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.

Rainfall Warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
