An intense low pressure system will track up the eastern seaboard today and Tuesday. Precipitation from this storm will begin before dawn Tuesday in the southwest as rain and freezing rain. An extended period of freezing rain is expected and warnings have been issued. The freezing rain will continue to push north later on Tuesday into eastern regions and additional regions may require warnings. The freezing rain will change over to rain by dawn Wednesday across the entire province. Significant rainfall over the province is possible with this system. Very strong winds will develop in the southwest on Tuesday and will spread across the province overnight into Wednesday. Additional warnings may be required.
