Blowing Snow Advisory in effect for:

  • Corner Brook and vicinity

Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow is expected or occurring in some locations.

Snow will continue tonight, before giving way to flurries and occasional snow squalls on Tuesday. Northwesterly winds will gust between 60 and 80 km/h on Tuesday resulting in reduced visibility in blowing snow.

Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero.

Weather Advisories for blowing snow are issued when winds are expected to create blowing snow giving poor visibility to 800 metres or less for at least 3 hours.
