Winter storm warning in effect for:

  • Kent County

Hazardous winter conditions are expected.

A low pressure system approaching from the southwest will cross the Maritimes Thursday. Wet snow mixed with rain will change to freezing rain this evening and then to snow at times heavy near midnight. Snow will taper to flurries later on Thursday. Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 30 cm are expected.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.

Winter Storm Warnings are issued when multiple types of severe winter weather are expected to occur together.
