Rainfall warning in effect for:

  • Mun. of Souris-Glenwood
  • R.M. of Pipestone incl. Oak Lake Res.
  • R.M. of Sifton incl. Oak Lake and Deleau
  • R.M. of Wallace-Woodworth incl. Virden Elkhorn and Kenton
  • R.M. of Whitehead incl. Alexander and Beresford
  • Riverdale Mun. incl. Rivers and Wheatland

Rain, at times heavy, is expected.

A low pressure system approaching from the south will stall over northern North Dakota overnight then gradually move eastward on Tuesday. Rain and thunderstorms ahead of this low will spread into southwestern Manitoba this evening. The heaviest rainfall potential will be overnight and Tuesday morning, however rain will persist through Tuesday night albeit with lesser amounts. Total rainfalls from this system will likely range from 35 to 75 mm in these regions.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
