Wind warning in effect for:

  • Sunshine Coast

Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.

An intense Pacific frontal system will cross the South Coast today. The strongest southeast winds will occur this morning with speeds of 60 to 80 km/h over exposed coastal sections. Winds will ease to near 50 km/h this afternoon and then shift to southwest this evening as the front moves through.

High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.
