Snowfall warning in effect for:

  • Trans-Canada Highway - Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass

Snowfall, with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected.

A Pacific weather system which gave rain and snow to interior highway passes overnight is departing. The snow has changed to rain over Coquihalla Highway and Allison Pass. Snow will continue over Rogers Pass and Kootenay Pass for an additional 5 to 10 cm this morning.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
