Wind warning in effect for:

  • North Thompson

Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.

Strong westerly winds of 70 gusting 90 km/h will develop late this morning as an intense fall storm moves across the B.C. Interior.

In addition to the strong winds, there is also a potential for a squall line to develop with intense thunderstorms. The squall line would bring frequent lightning, heavy showers possibly mixed with small hail.

Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.

Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
