Special air quality statement in effect for:

Air quality advisory over Burns Lake, Vanderhoof and Prince George.
The Ministry of Environment in collaboration with the Northern Health Authority has continued an air quality advisory for Burns Lake. High concentrations of fine particulate pm2.5 continue to persist due under the high pressure system.
The Ministry of Environment in collaboration with the Northern Health Authority has continued an air quality advisory for Prince George and Vanderhoof due to high concentrations of fine particulate matter (pm2.5).
Avoid strenuous outdoor activities. Staying indoors with windows and doors closed helps to reduce exposure.
Persons with chronic underlying medical conditions should postpone strenuous exercise until the advisory is lifted. Staying indoors and in air conditioned spaces helps to reduce fine particulate exposure. Exposure is particularly a concern for infants, the elderly and those who have diabetes, and lung or heart disease.
