Rainfall warning for
Kananaskis - Canmore continued
Total rainfall amounts of 80 to 100 millimetres.
A slow moving weather system continues to bring rain to much of Western Alberta. Rainfall from the system will gradually taper off through the weekend as the storm weakens. Total rainfall amounts of 60 to 100 millimetres are expected by the end of the event.
Over higher terrain precipitation is expected to fall as snow. Any snow that reaches lower elevations should melt before any significant amounts can accumulate.
Forecast regions along the periphery of the warned areas will also see significant rainfall amounts with up to 50 millimetres possible by Sunday.
