Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:52 AM AST 23 November 2014 An intense low pressure system over the Labrador Sea combined with a
ridge of high pressure south of the district will maintain the
Strong to gale force westerlies over most waters this morning.
Another ridge approaching from Quebec will bring diminishing winds
To the district through the day.

On Monday an intense low pressure system will move into Western
Quebec and give strong to gale force southerlies across the

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
marine waters.

Outlook for the start up of the Southwest Nova lobster fishery:

Tuesday..Southwesterly 25 to 35 knots.

Wednesday..Westerly 20 to 25 knots diminishing to 15 to 20 near noon
And to light in the afternoon.

Thursday..Wind northeast 15 to 20 knots diminishing to northeast 10
To 15 late in the day.
