44.0N 49.5W.
By 3:00 a.m. ADT Saturday Post-tropical Storm Cristobal 972 mb
located at 51.1N 38.4W.

At 10:00 a.m. ADT today trough located south of Nova Scotia.
By 3:00 p.m. ADT today merging trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over the Grand Banks.

At 10:00 a.m. ADT today ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over Quebec.
By 3:00 p.m. ADT Saturday ridge located over the southern Marine
District.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:55 AM ADT 29 August 2014 At 9:00 A.M. ADT Friday hurricane Cristobal was located near
Latitude 44.0 north longitude 49.5 west. Maximum sustained winds are
estimated at 70 knots and central pressure at 968 MB. Cristobal is
moving northeast at 47 knots.

A trough of low pressure south of Nova Scotia will move slowly
southeastward this morning and then merge with hurricane Cristobal
later today. Strong to gale force northerlies behind the trough
Will spread to eastern waters by this afternoon as the two systems
combine to form a large low pressure system east of Newfoundland.

Mariners interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Eastern shore - eastern half...Sable - eastern half...Fourchu...
Banquereau...Laurentian Fan...Cabot Strait...Northumberland
Strait - eastern half and Gulf Magdalen - southeastern half.
