Marine Weather StatementIssued 2:59 AM NST 7 December 2013 A trough of low pressure over the East Coast Newfoundland will move
across the Grand Banks today. Strong to gale force southerlies ahead
of the trough will shift to strong to gale force westerlies in its
An intense low pressure system over the Northwest Labrador Sea will
track slowly southeastward across the Labrador Sea today and Sunday.
As a result, gale force west or northwesterlies will become more
widespread across the district on Sunday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle, and Northeast Gulf.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle
Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
