Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 10:00 AM NST 24 November 2014 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 10:00 a.m. NST today weakening low 979 mb located east of
Greenland.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 986 mb located over the Great Lakes.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Tuesday low 974 mb located over western Labrador.

At 10:00 a.m. NST Tuesday warm front from low located over Belle
Isle Bank.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:58 AM NST 24 November 2014 A low pressure system just east of Greenland will continue to weaken
today. Strong to gale force northwesterlies over northern waters will
subside today as it weakens.

Meanwhile, a developing low pressure system over the Great Lakes
region will intensify as it tracks northeastward across Quebec
tonight. An associated warm front will cross the marine district from
the west tonight and into Tuesday. Strong to gale force
southeasterlies ahead of the front will veer to gale force
southwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Strait of Belle Isle and Belle Isle Bank.
