Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:00 AM NDT 21 September 2014 Today Tonight and Monday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today weakening trough located over southern
Labrador Sea.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT Monday approaching low 998 mb located over the
Maritimes.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today quasi-stationary high 1034 mb located
southeast of the Grand Banks.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:59 AM NDT 21 September 2014 A trough of low pressure system over the Labrador Sea will weaken
throughout the day. Strong to gale force southwesterlies over most
waters will diminish as the trough weakens.

Meanwhile, an intense low pressure system will approach the Maritimes
overnight and cross the Gulf of St. Lawrence on Monday. Gale to storm
force south to southwesterlies will spread across all waters on
Monday.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Northeast Gulf, Gulf - Port au Port, Southwest Coast, Belle Isle Bank
and Funk Island Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters.
