Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM NST 27 November 2014 Tonight and Friday At 3:30 p.m. NST today low 990 mb located over Cabot Strait.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Friday departing low 988 mb located east of Funk
Island Bank.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located on a line east-west over
Belle Isle Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday weakening ridge located on a line east-west
over Labrador Sea.

By 3:30 p.m. NST Friday approaching low 999 mb located south of
Laurentian Fan.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:28 PM NST 27 November 2014 A low pressure system currently over the Cabot Strait will move
northeastward and pass over Newfoundland tonight. Strong to gale
force east to northeasterlies are expected north of the low's track
and strong to gale force southeasterlies are expected southeast of
the track. Strong to gale force northerlies will develop behind this
low tonight as it pulls away from the marine district.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.
