Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:01 AM NST 9 December 2013 A trough of low pressure will drift across northern waters today
exiting the marine district east of the Funk Island Bank this
evening. Strong to gale force northwesterlies will diminish today as
a ridge of high pressure moves in from the west.
On Tuesday a low pressure system will approach the marine district
from the southwest. Strong to gale force southeasterly winds will
shift to strong to gale force westerlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle - western half.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, East Coast - north of
Cape St. Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island
