Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:00 AM NDT 23 September 2014 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today deepening low 977 mb located over southern
Labrador Sea.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT today low 970 mb located northeast of Labrador Sea.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today trough located over southeastern Labrador.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight trough located east of Belle Isle Bank.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today quasi-stationary high 1036 mb located
southeast of the Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:47 AM NDT 23 September 2014 An intense low pressure system over the Labrador Sea will move to lie
near Greenland by this evening. A trough associated with the low will
cross the marine district today. Strong to gale force southwesterlies
ahead of the trough will diminish as it passes.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except the South Coast and the Southwestern Grand Banks.
