Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM NDT 20 October 2014 Tonight and Tuesday At 3:30 p.m. NDT today low 976 mb located over the western Strait
of Belle Isle.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Tuesday low 980 mb located east of Labrador Sea.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today building high located east of Cape Hatteras.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Tuesday high located over Laurentian Fan.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 4:12 PM NDT 20 October 2014 A rapidly intensifying low pressure system will track across the
Southeastern Labrador this evening and across the South Labrador Sea
tonight. Strong to gale force south to southeasterlies can be
expected ahead of the low while gale to storm force west to
southwesterlies can be expected in the low's wake.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, and Belle Isle Bank.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except the
Southern Grand Banks.
