Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM AST 20 November 2014 Tonight and Friday At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight low 999 mb located over western Quebec.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Friday low 983 mb located east of Labrador.

At 3:00 a.m. AST Friday cold front from low located on a line
northeast-southwest over the northwestern Marine District.
By 3:00 p.m. AST Friday cold front located from Newfoundland to
East Scotian Slope.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:52 PM AST 20 November 2014 A low pressure system tracking north of the region will push a cold
front across the district overnight and Friday. Strong south to
southwesterly winds are expected ahead of the cold front except a
brief period of gales over northeastern-most waters this evening.
As the cold front sweeps southeastward across the district on Friday
strong to gale force northwesterlies will develop in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Fundy and Grand Manan.

Outlook for the start up of the Southwest Nova lobster fishery.

Sunday..Wind westerly 25 to 30 knots diminishing to west 10 to 15
Late in the day.
Monday..Wind south 15 to 20 knots increasing to south 30 to 40 late
In the day.
Tuesday..Southwesterly 25 to 30 knots.
