Issued 3:30 PM ADT 18 September 2014 Tonight and Friday At 3:30 p.m. ADT today cold front located on a line
northeast-southwest over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 9:00 a.m. ADT Friday intensifying cold front located south of
the Marine District.

At 3:30 p.m. ADT today Hurricane Edouard 971 mb located at 40.0N
40.5W.
By 9:00 a.m. ADT Friday weakening Tropical Storm Edouard 977 mb
located at 39.9N 37.8W.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:56 PM ADT 18 September 2014 A sharp cold front over the Gulf of St Lawrence will sweep
southeastward across the marine district tonight. Moderate to strong
southwest winds ahead of the front will shift to strong and gusty
northwesterlies behind it. Over eastern waters these winds are
expected to strengthen to gale force Friday afternoon.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, and Cabot Strait.

Tropical cyclone information: as of 3:30 P.M. ADT hurricane Edouard
was located near 40.0 north 40.5 west, or approximately 900 nautical
miles east-southeast of Sable Island. Edouard is moving east at 22
knots with maximum sustained winds of 70 knots and central pressure
of 970 MB.

As Edouard continues to move further away into the North Atlantic,
this will be the last update on Edouard.
