Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:00 AM ADT 2 October 2014 Today Tonight and Friday At 3:00 a.m. ADT today quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
east-west over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

At 3:00 a.m. ADT today low 1004 mb located south of East Scotian
By 3:00 a.m. ADT Friday quasi-stationary low 1003 mb located south
of Georges Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:01 AM ADT 2 October 2014 A low pressure system will remain south of the marine district today
and Friday while a ridge of high pressure remains over the Gulf of St
Lawrence. Winds will gradually increase between these two features to
become strong northeasterlies over all but northern Gulf waters by
this afternoon, with gales expected over most Atlantic waters south
of Nova Scotia.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Browns Bank, Georges Bank, southwestern shore, LaHave Bank, West
Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope, southern
half of Banquereau, and Laurentian Fan.
