Issued 3:30 PM AST 22 November 2014 Tonight and Sunday At 3:30 p.m. AST today low 963 mb located over Labrador Sea.
By 3:00 p.m. AST Sunday departing low 964 mb located northeast of
Labrador Sea.

At 3:30 p.m. AST today ridge located southwest of New England.
By 2:00 a.m. AST Sunday departing ridge located south of the
Marine District.

At 8:00 a.m. AST Sunday ridge located on a line north-south
over Quebec.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Sunday ridge located on a line north-south over
the Marine District.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:24 PM AST 22 November 2014 An intense low pressure system over the Labrador Sea combined with a
ridge of high pressure south of the district will give strong to gale
force west to southwesterlies over most waters tonight and Sunday
morning. Another ridge approaching from Quebec on Sunday will bring
diminishing winds to the western half of the district later in the
day.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
marine waters. A freezing spray warning is in effect for Anticosti.


Outlook for the start up of the Southwest Nova lobster fishery:

Monday..Wind south 15 to 20 knots increasing to southeast 25 to 30 in
the afternoon and to southerly 30 to 40 late in the day.

Tuesday..Southwesterly 25 to 35 knots.

Wednesday..Westerly 25 diminishing to 15 to 20 in the morning and to
light late in the day.
