Issued 3:30 PM ADT 17 April 2014 Tonight and Friday At 3:30 p.m. ADT today ridge located over the Maritimes.
By 9:00 p.m. ADT Friday ridge located east of Newfoundland.

At 3:00 a.m. ADT Friday approaching low located south of the
Marine District.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:17 PM ADT 17 April 2014 A ridge of high pressure will continue to build over the Maritimes
tonight. Meanwhile a low pressure system will develop south of the
marine district tonight and then move to lie over the southern edge
of East Scotian Slope on Friday evening. Strong to gale force
northeasterlies over extreme southern waters associated with this
system will diminish on Friday.

Outlook for the start-up of the eastern shore lobster fishery...
Saturday..Wind northeast 20 knots backing to northerly 15 to 20 in
The morning then to northwest 15 to 20 in the afternoon.
Sunday..Wind northwest 20 knots diminishing to variable 10 to 15 in
The afternoon.
Monday..Wind variable 10 to 15 knots increasing to southwest 15
To 20.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, and East Scotian Slope.
