Technical Marine SynopsisIssued 10:00 AM ADT 12 March 2014 Today Tonight and Thursday At 10:00 a.m. ADT today ridge located over the southern Marine
By 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight ridge located south of Newfoundland.
At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight deepening low 990 mb located south of
the Great Lakes.
By 10:00 a.m. ADT Thursday low 977 mb located over Nova Scotia.
At 8:00 p.m. ADT Thursday low 977 mb located over southwestern
Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:48 AM ADT 12 March 2014 A low pressure system south of the Great Lakes will intensify as it
approaches western waters this evening. The low will cross Nova
Scotia overnight into Thursday morning to lie near Western
Newfoundland Thursday evening. Gale force easterlies developing ahead
of the low will increase to gale to storm force northeasterlies north
and west of it. Winds shift to gale force southerlies south of the
Marine interests are advised storm warnings are in effect for
Northumberland Strait western half..Gulf Magdalen northwestern half..
Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti eastern half. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining waters.
Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Thursday for Fundy..Grand
Manan..Lurcher..Browns Bank..Southwestern shore and LaHave Bank.
