Issued 3:00 AM ADT 17 April 2014 Today Tonight and Friday At 3:00 a.m. ADT today weakening cold front located southeast of
the Marine District.

At 3:00 a.m. ADT today ridge located over New England.
By 3:00 a.m. ADT Friday ridge located from New Brunswick to
Newfoundland.

At 3:00 a.m. ADT Friday approaching low located south of the
Marine District.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:51 AM ADT 17 April 2014 A ridge of high pressure over New England will build northeastward
today and tonight as a low pressure system currently east of Cape
Hatteras moves slowly northward. Strong to gale force northeasterlies
will develop over extreme southern waters today between these
features.

Outlook for the startup of the eastern shore lobster fishery...
Saturday..Wind northeast 25 knots backing to northwest 25 in the
morning.
Sunday..Wind northwest 20 knots diminishing to variable 10 to 15.
Monday..Wind variable 10 to 15 knots increasing to southwest 15 to
20.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, and East Scotian Slope.

Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Anticosti.
