Issued 3:30 PM ADT 17 September 2014 Tonight and Thursday At 3:30 p.m. ADT today cold front located on a line
northeast-southwest over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight weakening cold front located over
Newfoundland.

At 3:30 p.m. ADT today Hurricane Edouard 958 mb located at 37.5N
51.5W.
By 9:00 a.m. ADT Thursday weakening Hurricane Edouard 964 mb
located at 39.8N 44.7W.

At 9:00 a.m. ADT Thursday low located over the Gaspe Peninsula.
By 9:00 p.m. ADT Thursday low located over southern Labrador.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:27 PM ADT 17 September 2014 Tropical cyclone information:

As of 3:30 P.M. ADT hurricane Edouard was located near 37.5
North 51.5 west, or approximately 545 NM southeast of Sable
Island. Edouard is moving northeast at 21 knots with a
Maximum sustained wind of 80 knots and central pressure of 958 MB.

Edouard is not expected to have any impact on winds over maritime
marine waters. It will generate swells of 3 to 4 metres over
Laurentian Fan tonight, with swells of 2 to 3 metres possible
As far north as the Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia tonight into
Thursday morning.
