Marine Weather StatementIssued 7:59 PM AST 4 December 2013 An intense low pressure system over Southern Newfoundland will
continue moving northeastward away from the district tonight. Gale to
storm force northwesterlies in its wake will diminish overnight.
In addition higher than normal water levels and large waves due to
strong northwest winds will give rough pounding surf to north and
west facing coasts of Northeastern Mainland Nova Scotia, Cape Breton
and Prince Edward Island this evening.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
