Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:53 AM ADT 1 October 2014 A low pressure system will approach the marine district from the
south today while a ridge of high pressure remains over the Gulf of
St Lawrence. Winds will gradually increase between these two features
today to become strong northeasterlies over all but northern Gulf
waters by Thursday afternoon, with gales expected over most Atlantic
waters south of Nova Scotia.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Browns Bank, Georges Bank, southwestern shore, LaHave Bank, West
Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope, southern
half of Banquereau, and Laurentian Fan.
