Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:51 AM ADT 17 April 2014 A ridge of high pressure extending northeastward from New England
will build over the Maritimes today and tonight. Meanwhile a low
pressure system currently east of Cape Hatteras will move slowly
northward. Strong to gale force northeasterlies will develop over
extreme southern waters today between these features.

Outlook for the start-up of the eastern shore lobster fishery...
Saturday..Wind northeast 25 knots backing to northwest 25 in the
Morning. Sunday..Wind northwest 20 knots diminishing to variable 10
To 15. Monday..Wind variable 10 to 15 knots increasing to southwest

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
