Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:00 AM ADT 18 May 2013 Today Tonight and Sunday At 3:00 a.m. ADT today low 1009 mb located over Banquereau.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight low 1010 mb located south of the Avalon
Peninsula.

At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight ridge located on a line north-south over
the western Marine District.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Sunday ridge located on a line north-south over
the central Marine District.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:51 PM ADT 17 May 2013 A low pressure system just east of Cape Breton Island will track
slowly eastward tonight to lie south of the Avalon Peninsula by
Saturday evening. Strong to gale force northerlies are expected in
the Gulf of St Lawrence tonight. These winds will gradually diminish
on Saturday as a ridge of high pressure approaches from the Great
Lakes.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
northern half of Gulf - Magdalen and southeastern half of Anticosti.
