southwestern Nova Scotia.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight low 988 mb located over Newfoundland.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight low 1012 mb located east of Cape Hatteras.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Friday low 994 mb located southeast of Laurentian

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 12:05 PM AST 27 November 2014 An intensifying low pressure system will continue to track along the
Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia today and lie over Newfoundland this
evening. Strong to gale force northeasterlies ahead of and north of
the lows track become strong to gale force southwesterlies to its
south. In addition freezing spray will develop over Anticosti this
evening as temperatures fall and strong northerly winds persist.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters. A freezing spray warning is in effect for Anticosti.

Outlook for the start up of the Southwest Nova lobster fishery:
Today..Wind northwest 25 to 35 diminishing to northwest 20 to 25
this afternoon and to north 15 this evening. Seas 4 to 6 metres
subsiding to 3 to 4 this evening.

Friday..Wind northeast 15 to 20 knots. Seas 2 to 3 metres subsiding
to 1 to 2 in the afternoon.

Saturday..Wind northwest 15 to 20 knots diminishing to light in the
afternoon. Seas 1 to 2 metres.

Higher than normal water levels can be expected until late this
afternoon along the Acadian coast south of Miramichi.
