Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:55 AM NDT 16 April 2014 A low pressure system off the Labrador coast will track northeastward
across the Labrador Sea today. A trailing cold front will move across
Newfoundland later today and will lie over eastern waters overnight.
The cold front will move east of the district on Thursday. Strong to
gale force southerlies ahead of the cold front today will veer to
strong to gale force westerlies with its passage. Winds will begin to
subside on Thursday as a ridge of high pressure approaches from the
