By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing low 973 mb located southeast
At 3:30 p.m. NST today intensifying low 1002 mb located northeast
of Cape Hatteras.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Thursday low 990 mb located over Cabot Strait.
At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the Maritimes.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Thursday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Belle Isle Bank.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:30 PM NST 26 November 2014 A low pressure system will continue to move eastward to lie southeast
of Greenland by this evening. Over northern waters, gale force
northwesterlies in the wake of the low will diminish this evening.
A second low pressure system will approach western waters Thursday
morning. Strong to gale force east to northeasterlies ahead of the
low will shift to strong to gale force southwesterlies southeast of
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except the Strait of Belle Isle, East Coast-north of Cape St.
Francis and Northeast Coast.
Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle.
