Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:17 PM AST 4 December 2013 An intense low pressure system over Cabot Strait will continue moving
northeastward to lie northeast of Newfoundland overnight. Gale to
storm force north to westerlies in its wake will diminish overnight.
In addition higher than normal water levels and large waves due to
strong northwest winds will give rough pounding surf to north and
west facing coasts of Northeastern Mainland Nova Scotia, Cape Breton
and Prince Edward Island this evening.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Eastern shore - eastern half..Sable - eastern half..Fourchu..
Banquereau..Laurentian Fan..Cabot Strait..Northumberland Strait -
Eastern half..Gulf-Magdalen and Anticosti - eastern half.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except Fundy..
Grand Manan..Lurcher..Browns Bank and Georges Bank.
