Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:00 AM ADT 19 September 2014 Today Tonight and Saturday At 3:00 a.m. ADT today departing cold front located on a line
northeast-southwest over Banquereau.

At 3:00 a.m. ADT today building high 1028 mb located over southern
By 9:00 p.m. ADT Saturday high 1034 mb located south of the
Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:58 AM ADT 19 September 2014 A cold front over Banquereau will track northeast and out of the
district this morning. Strong northwesterlies behind the front will
increase to strong to gale force over eastern waters this afternoon.

A large area of high pressure approaching from Southern Quebec will
track across the southern marine district tonight. Behind the high a
trough of low pressure will approach the district from the west.
These two features will combine to give strong to gale force
southwesterlies to most Gulf of St Lawrence waters on Saturday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
eastern shore - eastern half, Sable - eastern half, Fourchu,
Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, and all Gulf of St Lawrence
