At 5:00 p.m. AST Wednesday low 998 mb located southwest of
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:24 PM AST 25 November 2014 A low pressure system over Labrador will continue to track
northeastward to lie over the Labrador Sea by evening. Strong to gale
force southwesterlies over eastern waters will begin to diminish this
evening with the approaching ridge. Another low pressure system will
approach the southwestern marine areas late Wednesday bring gale
force easterlies to southwestern waters Wednesday evening.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, Banquereau,
Laurentian Fan and Anticosti.
Outlook for the start up of the Southwest Nova lobster fishery:
Thursday..Wind northeast 25 to 35 knots diminishing to northwest 20
to 25 late in the day.
Friday..Wind north 15 to 20 knots.
Saturday..Wind north 15 knots diminishing to light.
