Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM NDT 22 September 2014 Tonight and Tuesday At 3:30 p.m. NDT today deepening low 984 mb located over
southeastern Labrador.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Tuesday deepening low 964 mb located over eastern
Labrador Sea.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today quasi-stationary high 1036 mb located
southeast of the Grand Banks.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:18 PM NDT 22 September 2014 A deepening low pressure system over Southeastern Labrador will track
across the Labrador Sea tonight and Tuesday. Gale force southerlies
over most waters will shift to strong to gale force southwesterlies
tonight. However, over Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island Bank these
winds are forecast to reach storm force this evening. Winds will
diminish later Tuesday as the low moves away from the area.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island Bank. Gale warnings are in effect
for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised the high waves and pounding surf
can be expected along the southern coastline of Newfoundland this
evening.
